In 2018, UNFPA rationalised its operations because of the reduction of humanitarian funding and gradual transition to resilience and recovery in Iraq, leading to the operationalisation of humanitarian-development nexus: UNFPA handed over 32 reproductive health facilities, eight mobile delivery units and six mobile gynaecology clinics to the government.
In 2019, UNFPA requires US$ 10 million to provide reproductive health-related services to 700,000 individuals, including 673,000 women and girls of reproductive age.
